16 Stories of Feminist Activism

December 10, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

The Center for the Study of Women and Society at The Graduate Center CUNY, in collaboration with the journals, Feminist Anthropology and Women’s Studies Quarterly, sponsored a call for stories related to activism in the year 2020. In recognition and celebration of the global initiative, 16 Days Campaign, the collaboration invited everyone who engaged with feminist activism throughout the 2020 year to submit their stories and build a community around the purpose of activism and change.

We welcomed stories on any activism-related subject in a multitude of mediums and received many amazing submissions that we are so excited to share with everyone. In celebration of the tremendous amount of activism in 2020 and the activists who submitted to our call, the collaboration is sponsoring a final webinar to hear from the activists themselves, and to allow for an audience question and answer session.

The collaboration between the Center for the Study of Women and Society at The Graduate Center, CUNY, Feminist Anthropology, and Women’s Studies Quarterly invites everyone to join us on December 10th, 2020 from 5 PM EST to 6:30 PM EST. We hope this collaboration will help to celebrate the incredible and ongoing work of activists in New York and around the country and the world, and that we can lift up those who have worked hard to lift up this year.

Follow us on social media to see the 16 featured activists, read and view their work, and to see the schedule for the final webinar event.
